Cal Poly Tri Team Races

The Cal Poly Triathlon Team hosts two events as fundraisers for the team: the Chains of Love run and the March Triathlon Series.

Chains of Love is a 5k/10k/15k run that includes a 1/2 mile kids fun run that occurs every year on Valentine's Day weekend on the beautiful Cal Poly Campus. It features a couples division (cross the finish line with your sweetie!) and our infamous race-leading Cupids.

The March Triathlon Series consists of sprint- and olympic-distance triathlons that take place in and around beautiful Lake Lopez. MTS has grown from a small collegiate race to one of the largest endurance sports events in San Luis Obispo with over 600 competitors. The Olympic distance is part of the West Coast Collegiate Conference race calendar, but the general public is welcome to race in either distance.
