Team Workouts
Swim: 1500-3500 yard workouts 3x/week. Newer swimmers focusing on developing a feel for the water as well as developing efficient technique. Experienced swimmers getting in quality sets and building aerobic endurance. We are beginning Wednesday night swims this week. Workouts will be on the deck for all athletes. The swim coaches will be swimming alongside you. We will continue with Friday open water swim at Avila Pier.
Bike: 80-120 minute rides during the week. 25-40 miles on Saturday. All rides are in the small chain ring. Athletes should be able to hold a broken conversation throughout entire ride. No drop rule is in effect. Remember to ride in the bike lane and call out objects as they present themselves. Tuesday ride is Pismo Beach to Price Canyon.
Run: 35-45 minute runs during the week. 45-60 minutes on Sunday. Run with other people of your same fitness level. Athletes should be able to hold a broken conversation throughout entire run.
